Yanga returned to training yesterday to begin preparations for two crucial CAF Champions League qualifying matches against Silver Strikers, scheduled for October 18 in Malawi and October 25 in Dar es Salaam.
Following their goalless draw with Mbeya City in the NBC Premier League, head coach Romain Folz granted his players a three-day break. Yesterday, all players who are not on international duty reported back to camp.
Training sessions were held in two phases—morning and evening—with most of the time dedicated to tactical drills and technical adjustments.
It is evident that Folz has taken note of fans’ opinions and is now demanding improvements and greater sharpness from his players.
Yanga’s team manager, Walter Harrison, revealed that this week’s schedule will continue with double sessions, both in the morning and evening, as part of the team’s intensive preparation.
Yanga will be without 12 of their key players who are currently on international duty with their respective national teams.
