After failing to secure a win against Mbeya City in a match played at the Sokoine Stadium, which ended in a goalless draw, Yanga will make another trip to Mbeya early in November when they face Tanzania Prisons in a Premier League fixture on November 1.
Yanga head coach Romain Folz will clearly need to prepare a solid strategy to ensure victory when he returns to Sokoine for the second time this season.
In the clash against Mbeya City, Folz pointed out that the poor condition of the pitch contributed to his team’s inability to play their usual free-flowing football, resulting in a stalemate.
Last season, when Yanga faced Tanzania Prisons at the same venue, they walked away with an emphatic 5-0 victory, showcasing entertaining football under coach Miloud Hamdi, who later moved to Egypt to take charge of Ismailia SC.
This October, Yanga will play only one Premier League match against Mtibwa Sugar before opening November with the much-anticipated encounter against Prisons.
