Yanga SC will depart Mbeya this evening and return to Dar es Salaam to begin preparations for their CAF Champions League first-round tie against Silver Strikers. The first-leg match is scheduled for October 18, with the return leg set for October 25.
Head coach Romain Folz will have around two weeks to fine-tune his squad before traveling to Malawi for the crucial opening fixture in the quest to secure a group stage slot.
However, Folz will be without nearly 10 key players during this preparation period as they are away on international duty with their national teams.
Yanga will round off the month of October with a domestic league fixture against Mtibwa Sugar on October 29 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
