Two second-half goals from Pacome Zouzoua and Aziz Andabwile secured a 2-0 victory for Young Africans SC (Yanga) over Angola’s Wiliete SC in the second leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
The first 45 minutes ended goalless, with Wiliete SC showing greater defensive discipline compared to their first-leg performance at home.
Head coach Romain Folz’s second-half changes made the difference, as Edmund John and Offen Chikola came on for Maxi Nzengeli and Mudathir Yahya, injecting more attacking pace down the flanks.
Pacome broke the deadlock in the 70th minute after a clever exchange with Andy Boyeli, who had also been introduced in place of Prince Dube. Andabwile then sealed the win in the 86th minute, heading home from a Chikola corner.
With this result, Yanga progress to the first round of the competition with a 5-0 aggregate win, following their 3-0 triumph in the first leg played in Angola.
