Yanga head coach Romain Folz says he is proud to have a deep squad full of players ready to contribute in every match.
Folz stressed that every player in his squad is important, but since only 11 can start each game, not featuring in one match does not mean a player is not valued.
Looking ahead to the Premier League match against Pamba Jiji on Wednesday at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Folz hinted that fans should expect to see fresh faces, including players who have not featured in previous matches.
He noted that his squad is fully prepared for the game, with the goal of maintaining the same high standards they have shown in recent fixtures.
“We’ve had time to prepare for this game, and we expect to put on a good performance as we always do,” said Folz.
“I am proud to have a deep squad. If a player is not seen in one match, it doesn’t mean that player is not important. The squad is large, and my job as coach is to choose who plays.”
“Expect to see changes in our matches, but what’s important to know is that we have a strong team with players who are ready to fight for this club so that we perform well and achieve our goals,” he added.
Speaking on behalf of his teammates, defender Frank Assink said fans know Yanga are a good team and should expect to see a strong performance from them on Wednesday.
