Yanga striker Clement Mzize may miss the club’s opening Premier League match of the season against Pamba Jiji, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Mzize sustained an injury during the CAF Champions League preliminary round match against Wiliete SC played on September 19 in Angola.
While Mzize is expected to be sidelined, the good news for Yanga fans is the return of striker Andy Boyeli, who has recovered from injury.

Boyeli picked up his injury in a friendly match against Tabora United during Yanga’s pre-season campaign.
He took part fully in Yanga’s training session yesterday as the team prepared for the clash against Pamba Jiji.
Yanga are determined to start the 2025/26 season strongly with a win over Pamba Jiji as they launch their quest to defend the league title for a fifth consecutive time.
