Simba SC have confirmed the departure of their head coach, Fadlu Davids, who joined the club last season. The decision comes after a string of poor results, particularly against their traditional rivals, Yanga SC.
According to reports, Fadlu decided to leave shortly after losing the Community Shield match 1-0 to Yanga last week.
That was his fourth consecutive defeat against Yanga, while for Simba it marked a sixth straight loss to their archrivals — a record that has deeply frustrated the Msimbazi faithful.
The tension escalated after the Community Shield defeat, with pressure from fans and stakeholders mounting. For many, Yanga coach Romain Folz has become the source of Msimbazi’s pain. Every Yanga victory seems to spell trouble across the river in Msimbazi.
Yanga fans’ famous slogan, “this season we’re striking right on target,” now appears to be taking shape. Each win over Simba has carried significant consequences, affecting not only the players but also the technical bench and the club’s stability.
Currently, Fadlu Davids is being linked with a move to Moroccan side Raja Casablanca, leaving Simba scrambling to find a new head coach.
