Yanga striker Andy Boyeli has been absent from the squad in the past two matches against Simba and Wiliete SC.
Boyeli sustained an injury during a friendly match against JKT Tanzania, which caused him to miss those fixtures.
The good news for Yanga fans is that the Congolese forward has continued to recover well and could feature in the club’s opening Premier League match of the 2025/26 season on Wednesday, September 24.
The Citizens will kick off their campaign against Pamba Jiji at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, with the match scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
Prince Dube and Boyeli are expected to lead Yanga’s attack this season.
