Yanga’s Head of Media and Communications, Ali Kamwe, has said that the 3-0 victory over Wiliete FC in Angola today is a clear reflection of the club’s intent in this season’s CAF Champions League campaign.
Within just three days, Yanga played two major matches, including traveling a long distance to face Wiliete right after their Community Shield clash against Simba.
Kamwe noted that despite having limited time to prepare in Angola, the team stepped onto the pitch and secured a convincing win.
"After 90 minutes of the Kariakoo Derby, by 10:00 PM the team was back at the hotel preparing for the journey. By 1:00 AM the players were at the airport, flight to Ethiopia, waiting three hours at the airport, then connecting to Angola,"
