Yanga head coach Romain Folz has said his players are ready to defend the Community Shield when they face arch-rivals Simba at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium tomorrow.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Folz noted that the match will not be much different from others they have played, except that it will be in front of a larger crowd. He emphasized that Yanga will ensure victory to bring joy to their supporters.
“We are excited heading into this game. It is a big match to open the season, but we will make sure to play well and stay true to our system, regardless of who we are facing,” he said.
“It will be a big game in front of many fans, and we will make sure to give them joy and defend the Community Shield for another season,” Folz added.
The French coach also assured fans that they should expect notable changes in both the lineup and style of play for this clash.
“We have played and achieved good results in our friendly matches, but tomorrow will be different because this is a championship match. Expect to see a different Yanga, starting with the lineup and the way we play,” he explained.
