There had been rumors that Yanga’s former spokesperson, Haji Manara, was on the verge of returning to his old employers.
But yesterday, during the *Wiki ya Mwananchi* celebrations, Manara put the speculation to rest, assuring Yanga fans that he is a true *Mwananchi* and that this club remains his dream home.
At Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Manara made a surprise appearance and took up his familiar role of unveiling the squad — a duty he had performed for the past four years.
He ended the presentation with his trademark gesture involving Pacome Zouzoua, tying the striker’s shoelaces. It was the same symbolic act he performed last season, after which Pacome went on to be crowned the club’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Without a doubt, fans will be hoping Pacome continues his fine form this season.
