Young Africans SC (Yanga) has been officially valued at TZS 100 billion, following the completion of an assessment conducted by a special committee appointed for the task.
Speaking during the club’s Annual General Meeting held earlier today at the SuperDome in Masaki, Dar es Salaam, the committee’s chairman, Alex Mgongolwa, announced that the valuation was carried out by Colliers International, a global investment and real estate advisory firm.
Mgongolwa noted that this valuation marks the beginning of Yanga’s transition into a modern football business model, with the sale of shares being one of the next steps. He added that the club’s official market value will serve as the foundation for upcoming investment procedures.
This development positions Yanga among the few Tanzanian clubs to secure an official commercial valuation—an important milestone that is expected to open a new chapter in the club’s professional management.
Notably, Yanga’s valuation of TZS 100 billion is five times higher than that of their arch-rivals Simba SC, who were recently valued at TZS 20 billion.
