Yanga SC has announced that the launch of the Wiki ya Mwananchi celebrations will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, at Zakhiem grounds in Mbagala, Dar es Salaam.
Speaking at a press conference held earlier today at the club’s headquarters, Media and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe called on fans to turn out in large numbers for the launch, which will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Kamwe also announced the ticket prices for the climax of Wiki ya Mwananchi, scheduled for September 12 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, where Yanga will face Kenya’s Bandari FC.
"VVIP - 600,000/-, Royal - 300,000/-, VIP A - 50,000/-, VIP B - 30,000/-, VIP C - 15,000/-, Orange Stand - 10,000/-, and General Admission - 5,000/-," he revealed.
"The ticketing process has been simplified, as has the entry procedure at the stadium. Various services will be easily available, and we have also worked on improving the entertainment side based on fans’ feedback," Kamwe added.
"There will be three matches—one featuring the women’s team, one between club officials and artists, and the main clash between Yanga and Bandari FC," he said.
"The official launch of the excitement leading to the climax of Wiki ya Mwananchi will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, at Zakhiem grounds in Mbagala starting at 11:00 a.m. There will also be designated areas where tickets will be sold," Kamwe emphasized.
He further revealed that the theme for Wiki ya Mwananchi 2025 is “TUNAPIGA KICHWANI TU” (We Only Score with Our Heads), which will be used throughout the 2025/26 season.
