Yanga attacking midfielder Ecua Celestine has opted to represent the Chad national team instead of Ivory Coast.
Two days ago, he announced his decision through his social media account, describing Chad as his second homeland after Ivory Coast.
Ecua is expected to make his debut for Chad in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ghana and Madagascar.
The player holds dual citizenship for both Ivory Coast and Chad. After previously representing Ivory Coast at youth level, he has now chosen to play for Chad at senior level.
Another Yanga star, Lassine Kouma from Mali, is also reportedly considering switching his international allegiance to Chad.
Former Yanga attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki, now playing for Wydad, chose to represent Burkina Faso at international level despite being born in Ivory Coast.
