After completing their national duty with the Tanzania national team 'Taifa Stars' in the CHAN 2024 tournament, Yanga Head Coach Romain Folz has granted a few days of rest to Yanga stars who were part of the squad.
Defenders Dickson Job, Ibrahim Bacca, and Mohammed Hussein, midfielders Mudathir Yahya and Shekhan Khamis, along with forward Clement Mzize, were part of the Taifa Stars squad that exited the competition at the quarter-final stage after a 1-0 defeat to Morocco.
The players are expected to rejoin their Yanga teammates in early September or after the World Cup qualifier against Niger scheduled for September 9.
There is a high possibility that all of them will be included in the national squad, which will consist of both home-based and foreign-based players.
It is reported that Folz has provided rest days, but for those who will not be included in the Taifa Stars squad, they will be required to report back at Avic Town camp to continue preparations for the "Wiki ya Mwananchi" event and the Community Shield clash against Simba on September 16.
