Yanga SC are in the final stages of completing the signing of Ghanaian center-back Frank Assinki from Singida Black Stars, it has been revealed.
Assinki will join Yanga on a season-long loan deal for the entire 2025/26 campaign.
The club moved urgently for this signing after confirming that Yao Kouassi 'Jeshi' will need more recovery time following knee surgery.
Yao will remain part of the squad but will not be registered until the January 2026 transfer window. For now, his place will be taken by Assinki, who is capable of playing as a center-back, right-back, and defensive midfielder.
Last season, Assinki impressed with Singida BS, where he was a key figure in their defense.
