Yanga’s attacking midfielder, Offen Chikola, has expressed great joy and gratitude for the support he is receiving from the club’s fans and members, promising to continue fighting for the pride of Yanga’s badge and to ensure the team achieves its goals.
Chikola, who is among the domestic signings that were warmly received, said the passion and trust from the fans have given him extra motivation to showcase his abilities on the pitch.
Recently, Yanga’s head coach, Romain Folz, gave him 45 minutes in a friendly match against Rayon Sports played at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali. During that time, Chikola impressed with his performance, delighting fans at the stadium as well as those following from home.
“I am proud of and respect the contribution of Yanga fans. The most important thing is for them to keep supporting their team because we players depend a lot on them. Their large presence in the stadium gives us huge motivation, whether we are playing at home or away,” said Chikola.
Furthermore, the winger explained that he has been receiving significant support from his teammates, something that helps him improve his performance every day.
“I have also been speaking with my fellow players, and some congratulate me when I do well and advise me on what more I can do to benefit the team. I respect everyone’s input because we all share the same goal — to ensure Yanga performs well and achieves its objectives,” he added.
