Yanga right-back Yao Kouassi will not be included in this transfer window’s squad in order to give him time to recover from recurring injuries.
The Ivorian defender underwent tests which revealed he would need several months to be fully fit and ready to play football.
Yao underwent surgery on his right knee, which has been troubling him repeatedly.
It is reported that Yanga has already signed Ghanaian centre-back Frank Assink from Singida Black Stars on a six-month loan.
If Yao is fit by January 2026, he will be reinstated to the squad while Assink will return to Singida BS.
For now, Yanga has been forced to add a centre-back as their key defenders, Dickson Job and Ibrahim Bacca, are away on national duty for the CHAN tournament.
