On Wednesday, August 13, Yanga will travel to Rwanda for an international friendly match against Rayon Sports, scheduled for Friday, August 15, at Amahoro Stadium.
Yanga have been invited by Rayon Sports to take part in Rayon Day, a special event celebrating the start of the new season.
Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, confirmed the team’s travel plans to Rwanda on Wednesday and urged those wishing to travel to make the necessary arrangements and submit their details to the club management.
After the match against Rayon Sports, Yanga may head to Egypt to conclude two weeks of pre-season preparations.
Kamwe said the club will announce their next pre-season destination after the match against Rayon.
“So far, our squad has been continuing with training sessions at KMC Complex. On Wednesday, we will travel to Rwanda for the match against Rayon Sports,” Kamwe stated.
“Regarding where we will go after the match against Rayon, we will provide details after that game,” he added.
It is reported that Yanga head coach Romain Folz has proposed that the team travel to Egypt to wrap up their two weeks of preparations before returning to Tanzania for Wiki ya Mwananchi, which will climax in the first week of September 2025.
