Yanga SC is just a few steps away from finalizing its transfer activity, but head coach Romain Folz is making changes by planning to bring in two more new members to the technical bench.
The 35-year-old coach, who was introduced last week, has already added two new staff members and is set to continue, having reportedly received permission to bring in two more to help ease his first season with the club.
Initially, Folz agreed with Yanga management to retain some of the assistants he found in the technical bench left by his predecessor, Miloud Hamdi. However, things have since changed.
Three members of Yangaโs current technical team are departing โ former Technical Director Abdihalim Moallin, video analyst Mpho Maruping, and fitness coach Sekhwela Seroto.
The trio are reportedly heading to Algeria to join Sead Ramovic at CR Belouzdad, forcing Folz to rebuild the bench ahead of the teamโs preseason training camp.
Currently remaining in Yanga's technical team are local goalkeeping coach Soud Slim and fitness coach Taibi Lagrouni from Morocco.
Besides a new assistant coach, Folz is bringing in a video analyst who will work alongside Paul Mathew โ already in Tanzania to take up the role of Technical Director. Folz is also expected to bring in a new goalkeeping coach, Majdi Mnasria from Tunisia.
For the fitness coach role, Yanga has started negotiations to bring back Tunisian Youssef Ammar, who previously served in the same role before departing during Miguel Gamondi's era.
Folz wants all new staff in place before the team departs for Rwanda on August 13 for a special invitation match against Rayon Sport scheduled for August 15.
After that friendly, Yanga may proceed to Egypt to continue preparations for the new season.
