The Tanzania national team has completed its two preparatory matches ahead of the CHAN 2024 tournament, securing a 2-1 victory over Senegal today in a match played at Black Rhino Stadium in Karatu.
Senegal opened the scoring early, but the Taifa Stars equalized and then added a second goal in the second half through strikes from Abdul Sopu and Ibrahim Hamad Bacca, who netted the winner.
Bacca has continued his impressive scoring form that began in last season’s NBC Premier League and has now carried it over to the national team.
In their first warm-up match against Uganda, the Taifa Stars won 1-0.
The Stars are now fully prepared for the CHAN tournament, which is set to kick off on August 2.
