Yanga SC appears to have moved on from pursuing Singida Black Stars striker Jonathan Sowah of Ghana, now being linked with DR Congo forward Andy Boyeli.
Boyeli currently plays for Sekhukhune United in South Africa’s Premier Soccer League.
Reports indicate that Yanga’s new coach, Romain Folz, personally recommended Boyeli’s signing. The 24-year-old scored six goals in 27 league matches last season.
According to South African journalist Lorenz Kohler, Boyeli is expected to join Yanga on a one-year loan deal, which includes an option to buy if the club is satisfied with his performance.
Boyeli will effectively replace Kennedy Musonda, who departed for Russia after his contract with Yanga expired.
