Yanga SC’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, has confirmed that the club is in the process of signing talented midfielder Moussa Balla Conte from Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien.
Recently, Conte (21) has been one of the most discussed names in transfer rumors, with reports suggesting that Yanga has reached an agreement with his club CS Sfaxien, while rivals Simba are allegedly close to agreeing terms directly with the player—creating confusion over his final destination.
Kamwe stated that Conte is an impressive midfielder attracting interest not only from Tanzanian clubs but also from big names like Pyramids and Esperance.
"Let me be clear – it’s true, Yanga wants Moussa Balla Conte. He’s a good midfielder who has caught the eye not only of Tanzanian teams but also clubs like Pyramids and Esperance,"
"He’s a talented player capable of doing many things on the field, and he’s still young, so yes, Yanga wants him."
"As for official confirmation of whether we’ve signed him or not – that will be clear starting July 20, when I receive the complete transfer report,"
"From the 20th onward, we’ll start sharing all updates: who the new coach is, the technical bench setup, players whose contracts have ended or were terminated by mutual agreement, and the players we’ve signed," said Kamwe.
Additionally, Kamwe stated that Yanga is in the final stages of completing its transfer activities, with only one player left to finalize before concluding their recruitment for the season.
"Our recruitment process is almost complete – we’re finalizing the signing of just one player from our initial targets to wrap up the process," Kamwe added.
