Yanga midfielder Khalid Aucho may not be part of the historical champions’ squad next season after contract extension negotiations failed to reach an agreement, it has been revealed.
Yanga was ready to offer Aucho a one-year contract, but the midfielder is unwilling to extend for just one year, instead demanding a two-year deal.
A close associate of Aucho, who is a journalist at EFM, revealed that Aucho might head to Vietnam, where he has received a more lucrative offer.
"After a week-long meeting, as a journalist who had the chance to hear directly from him and Yanga management, I can confirm that Aucho will not be with Yanga,"
"Aucho may go to Vietnam; there’s a top-flight club there that wants him. I can say Aucho will not be in the country next season," said Justine Kessy.
Initially, Yanga had an agreement with Aucho to extend for one year, but the Jinja-born player may have changed his mind after being convinced by the foreign offer.
In Aucho’s midfield position, Yanga has already signed midfielder Mohamed Doumbia and is also reportedly finalizing the signing of CS Sfaxien midfielder Moussa Balla Conte.
