Popular Bongo Fleva artist Omari Ally, known as Marioo, along with Singeli music sensation Dogo Pattern, are set to entertain fans at the Safari Lager Cup final scheduled for July 26 this year at the KMC Complex stadium.
This final match will feature Tanzanian champions Yanga SC facing off against the Safari Lager Talents team, which comprises young talents scouted from various parts of the country.
Speaking to journalists today in Dar es Salaam, Safari Lager Manager Pamela Kikui announced that preparations for the final are 100% complete, urging fans to attend in large numbers to enjoy both football and music entertainment.
“To make the final more exciting, we will have electrifying performances from Marioo and Dogo Pattern. We encourage Tanzanians to turn up in large numbers to witness our young talents and celebrate with music from our top artists,” said Kikui.
For his part, Yanga SC Media Manager Ali Kamwe said that prior to the main match, there will be an opening game between Yanga fans and various entertainers including musicians, comedians, and popular actors.
“This friendly match will serve as part of the early entertainment. We urge fans to come in large numbers to enjoy this unique entertainment before the main final kicks off,” Kamwe said.
He added that tickets for the match are already on sale and advised fans to purchase them early to avoid last-minute inconveniences.
Meanwhile, Yanga’s Director of Competitions, Ibrahim Mohamed, encouraged the Safari Lager Talents team to fully embrace the lessons they are receiving from veteran players, noting that this is the path to realizing their dreams.
“For us, we are here to nurture talent. If we see that you have true potential, we won’t leave you behind; we’ll offer you formal opportunities to advance to higher levels,” Mohamed said.
