Yanga SC’s new attacking midfielder, Celestin Ecua, seemingly tired of waiting for an official unveiling, has introduced himself to fans via his verified Instagram account. Through his page, Ecua described himself as a former Zoman FC player now joining Yanga.
The forward, who was previously on loan at ASEC Mimosas from Zoman FC, has already finalized all procedures regarding his transfer to Yanga.
At 23 years old, Ecua is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and sharp eye for goal. He is expected to boost Yanga’s attacking options, being capable of playing across all forward positions.
Last season in Ivory Coast’s top division, he scored 15 goals and provided 12 assists. Internationally, he has played five matches, scoring twice. He is expected to arrive in Tanzania later this week to finalize preparations for settling in.
As a foreign player, Yanga must now complete his permit and accommodation arrangements to ensure he is ready to join his new teammates when pre-season begins.
Meanwhile, another new signing, Mohamed Doumbia, is already in the country and continuing individual training to maintain fitness ahead of pre-season.
