Today marks the birthday of Yanga’s Chief Executive Officer, Andre Mtine.
When Senzo Mbartha departed, many Yanga fans (Wananchi) feared that the solid foundation laid by the South African might collapse after his exit.
However, Mtine’s arrival did not just continue from where Mbartha left off—it introduced even greater progress, with Yanga enjoying notable successes, particularly in CAF competitions.
Under his leadership, Yanga has reached the finals of the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC), the quarterfinals of the CAF Champions League (CAF CL), and the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
Yanga has also consistently defended its domestic titles, including the Premier League, FA Cup, and Community Shield.
The professionalism evident in the management of Yanga’s affairs is largely credited to Mtine’s strong leadership as the club’s chief overseer.
We wish him all the best on this special day of his birth.
