The leadership of Yanga Sports Club will today at 11:00 AM address their members and fans through a press conference to be held at the club’s headquarters in Jangwani.
During the conference, Yanga is expected to launch a major campaign for members and fans titled **"TOFALI LA UBINGWA"** (The Championship Brick).
Through this campaign, every member is required to pay their annual membership fee, a process that will also go hand-in-hand with the registration of new members.
Yanga’s Manager of Information and Communication, Ali Kamwe, stated that the club’s goal is to register one million members and ensure all of them pay their dues to help Yanga achieve its targets for the upcoming season.
"The goal is to secure one million bricks from Yanga fans who will pay their membership fees online. If we achieve this, we will have accomplished two major objectives, my fellow Yanga supporters," he said.
"First, we will have raised enough money to make significant signings that will give us a stronger team than we had this season."
"Second, we will have secured a solid budget that will enable our Yanga to compete effectively in all competitions (both domestic and CAF). The Championship Brick is being sold for Tsh 24,000," Kamwe added.
