Yanga President, Engineer Hersi Said, has acknowledged the desire of club members and fans to see the team perform even better and go further in the CAF Champions League (CAF CL).
Speaking during the event where Yanga received a TSh 262 million bonus from sponsors SportPesa following a successful season, Hersi admitted that the club has a score to settle in continental competitions, having underperformed in the previous campaign.
He stated that during this transfer window, Yanga will make strategic signings to ensure they bring in top-quality players who can help the team succeed in this season's continental contests.
Hersi emphasized that Yanga’s minimum target is to reach the group stage of the CAF CL, after which they will set new goals depending on their performance from that stage onward.
"After the achievements of the past season, I know the coming season will be even tougher, so I urge Yanga members and supporters to continue supporting us. We will fight to defend our trophies,"
