The Chairman of the African Clubs Association (ACA), Engineer Hersi Said, has confirmed that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has approved an increase in preparation funds for clubs participating in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup next season.
Last season, clubs received $50,000, but in the upcoming season, they will receive $100,000 — equivalent to over TSh 260 million.
It should be remembered that after being elected ACA Chairman last year, Hersi's first task was to request these preparation funds for clubs, which previously were not being provided.
He has now successfully secured this increment, which will benefit all clubs participating in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

"After constructive discussions between the African Clubs Association (ACA) and CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, CAF has officially decided to increase the support grant for clubs eliminated in the preliminary rounds from $50,000 to $100,000 starting from the 2025/26 season."
