Former Yanga Head Coach Miloud Hamdi has expressed his gratitude to the Wananchi (Yanga fans) for the support he received during his short but successful stint at the club.
Two days ago, Egyptian club Ismaily officially unveiled Hamdi as their new head coach. Hamdi had just finished the season with Yanga on a high note, winning three major trophies.
In a heartfelt message shared on his social media page, Hamdi admitted that leaving Yanga was not an easy decision, but he respects the club’s direction.
"Dear Wananchi, I wanted to thank you deeply for your support and your constant presence by our side. I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the joy and celebration you gave us,"
"You moved me deeply, and tears rolled down my face during the guard of honor. You were amazing, and I told myself during that moment—what an honor it has been to win these trophies for you."
"I respect the club’s decision, and I wish you all the best and success in the upcoming season. I know why I gave my body and soul for you—you deserve it so much. I love you and will never forget you. You are simply the best," wrote Hamdi.
Hamdi leaves as one of the most successful coaches in Yanga's recent history. He led the team to a treble and achieved staggering statistics—guiding Yanga through 21 matches in all competitions and winning 20 of them.
