Reports from Egypt have revealed that top-flight club Ismaily SC is in talks to appoint coach Miloud Hamdi, who recently concluded his contract with Tanzanian giants Yanga SC.
The coach, who led Yanga to a treble-winning season, is yet to sign a contract extension despite holding preliminary discussions with the club’s management.
Hamdi was appointed by Yanga to replace Sead Ramovic and signed a short-term contract running until the end of the season. His tenure concluded after the CRDB Cup final against Singida Black Stars, a match Yanga won 2–0 to retain the title for a fourth consecutive season.
Initially, Yanga had started the process of searching for a new head coach for the upcoming season. However, Hamdi’s impressive performance over a short period seems to have convinced the club’s top officials to consider offering him a long-term contract.
Nevertheless, there has been no official statement regarding his future, and there is a strong possibility that he could end up joining Ismaily SC.
