Yesterday, Yanga wrapped up the season in dominant fashion by holding a unique victory parade to celebrate the five trophies they collected in the just-concluded season.
At the end of the celebrations, fans (known as Wananchi) received exciting news from the clubβs president, Engineer Hersi Said, about plans to build a stadium at Jangwani.
Yanga had requested the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, to allocate them more land to construct a large stadium that could accommodate at least 20,000 fans.
Hersi confirmed that the request had been approved, and the club has been granted additional land next to its headquarters in Jangwani for the stadium project.
He further revealed that construction is expected to begin in the coming months.
