Yanga striker Prince Dube will not be part of the squad facing Singida Black Stars today in the CRDB Cup final at the New Amaan Complex stadium.
Yangaβs Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, stated that Dube has been granted rest by the technical bench to allow full recovery from a thigh muscle injury.
"Dube played the match against Simba while carrying an injury. It was an important game, and the management did everything possible for him to play β and we saw his impact during the first 45 minutes,"
"He has now been given rest and is not in the plans for the match against Singida Black Stars,"
"Yanga has a deep squad, and we believe the remaining players will achieve our goal of defending the CRDB Cup title for the fourth consecutive season," said Kamwe.
Dube sustained the injury during a Premier League match against Tanzania Prisons, which caused him to miss the game against Dodoma Jiji before playing 45 minutes against Simba.
The rest period he has been given is expected to help him fully recover and return in top form for the upcoming 2025/26 pre-season preparations.
