Yanga Head Coach Miloud Hamdi has said the team is prepared to bring joy to their fans in Zanzibar by winning the CRDB Cup against Singida Black Stars in the final match set to be played tomorrow, Sunday, at the New Amaan Complex stadium.
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Hamdi noted that he expects a tough match against Singida BS, emphasizing that their opponents did not reach the final by luck, as they have a strong squad.
However, he stressed that the most important thing for Yanga is to win the trophy and bring happiness to their fans, who have supported the team since the beginning of the season.
"First, I congratulate Singida Black Stars for reaching the final — it’s not by accident, they have a very good squad. For us, we expect a competitive and challenging match tomorrow, one of the best and most difficult games," said Hamdi.
"Winning the trophy for our fans is a great thing. We are proud of that because they have supported us in every situation. We're here to fight for them, to make them happy. We expect them to turn up in large numbers tomorrow because we really need them."
"All my players understand the importance of tomorrow’s game. They have experience playing in such matches, and I expect them to be the best soldiers fighting for the happiness of our fans," Hamdi added.
Speaking on behalf of his teammates, attacking midfielder Shekhan Khamis said all players are ready to fight for the Yanga badge in this final and bring joy to their supporters.
"On behalf of my teammates, we are fit and ready to fight for our team. We sincerely thank our fans for the support and motivation they give us whenever they see us. We ask them to come out in large numbers tomorrow so we can celebrate together," said Shekhan.
"Singida is a very good team — everyone knows this — so we believe it will be a very tough match. I just want to tell our fans that we are ready to fight for our team. Please come in numbers," he added.
