After Yanga clinched the Mainland Premier League title for the fourth consecutive season, the club's former head coach, Sead Ramovic, extended his congratulations while expressing pride in having been part of that success.
Ramovic, who led Yanga during the first round of the 2024/25 season before departing for CR Belouizdad, stated that he recognizes the magnitude of Yanga’s achievement this season and emphasized that the title is an honor for everyone who has ever been part of the club.
"Congratulations to the beloved Young Africans club — to President Hersi, the players, the technical bench, and the entire support team — for winning the league title," said Ramovic.
The coach stressed that Yanga’s success was not due to luck but was the result of hard work and strong unity within the team. He admitted that he still holds fond memories of his time at Jangwani.
"I am proud and happy to have been part of this journey, contributing positively to the team’s success during my time," he said.
In a season that saw the highest level of competition in recent years, Yanga finished at the top with 82 points, four points ahead of rivals Simba.
Ramovic also congratulated Simba’s head coach, Fadlu Davids, describing him as one of the best coaches he has ever faced in the league, and acknowledged that the competition made Yanga's title even more valuable.
"To win this crucial title, especially against such a brilliant coach like Fadlu Davids — whose work, intelligence, and character speak for themselves — is a highly respectable achievement," he added.
Ramovic, who left Yanga without losing a single league match, is credited with laying a strong foundation that enabled the team to remain solid until the end of the season under his successor, Coach Miloud Hamdi.
Yanga secured the championship by leading in nearly all key league statistics — boasting a strong defensive line that conceded few goals, a potent attack, and disciplined gameplay.
In his congratulatory message, Ramovic concluded by saying:
"This is a moment of pride for everyone close to Yanga. I hope the club continues to grow and shine on every stage it steps on."
Yanga's title run, which saw them collect a total of 82 points from 30 matches — winning 27, drawing one, and losing two — was shaped by three different coaches: Miguel Gamondi, who led the team in 10 matches (winning eight and losing two); Ramovic, who coached six matches and won all; and Miloud Hamdi, who concluded the final 13 matches, winning 12 and drawing one. In between, Abdihamid Moallin took charge for one match against KenGold, which Yanga won 6-1, before handing over to Hamdi, who is now preparing for the FA Cup final against Singida Black Stars.
