Yanga SC has already settled matters regarding their versatile midfielder, Maxi Nzengeli of DR Congo, by extending his contract—this has now been confirmed.
Information from within the club's management revealed that Maxi signed a two-year contract in May 2025, dismissing ongoing speculation on social media as mere propaganda.
"The reports circulating on social media are just propaganda. Those spreading them know their agenda, but the truth is that Maxi has already signed a two-year deal," confirmed a source from Yanga.
Maxi Nzengeli has been a key pillar for Yanga since joining the club, showing great versatility by playing in various positions including midfield, wing, and occasionally as a fullback when needed.
During his two seasons with the “Wananchi,” he has significantly contributed to the team’s success—winning league titles, the FA Cup, and reaching the quarterfinals of the CAF Champions League in 2024.
In addition to Maxi, Yanga has also secured the services of other key players whose contracts were nearing expiration. Among them are Pacome Zouzoua, Dickson Job, and Mudathir Yahya, all of whom have signed new deals as part of the club’s long-term plan to build a strong squad for the upcoming season.
