Former Yanga spokesperson Haji Manara has been released on bail this Friday after appearing at the Central Police Station following a summons by the Police Force for questioning.
Manara, who is currently a regular member of Yanga, was interrogated by the police following a complaint by TFF President Wallace Karia. The complaint stemmed from Manaraβs social media posts in which he pressured Karia to resign after Yanga raised claims of not being paid their championship prize money for the previous CRDB Cup season.
A statement from the Police Force has indicated that the investigation is still ongoing.
This marks the second time Manara has clashed with the TFF President, following a previous incident that led to a two-year football ban. That situation arose from events during the FA Cup final between Yanga and Coastal Union held in Arusha in 2022.
