The talented midfielder of Yanga SC, Khalid Aucho, has made it clear that the renowned Jangwani-based club is determined to defend both remaining titles — the NBC Premier League and the CRDB (FA) Cup.
With strong emphasis, Aucho stated that their main goal is to win every remaining match, leaving no room to drop any points.
Yanga SC, which is aiming to win the Premier League title for the fourth consecutive time, faces two tough matches against Tanzania Prisons and Dodoma Jiji. In addition, they also have the CRDB Cup final ahead against Singida Black Stars, scheduled to be played in Zanzibar on June 28.
"The remaining matches are very important for us to achieve our goals. We will make sure we win all of them," said Aucho with emphasis.
The captain of Uganda’s national team added that despite the uncertainty surrounding the match against Simba SC, scheduled for June 15, Yanga is ready for anything.
"I can't speak much about the match against Simba due to the current uncertainty, but let me assure you we are ready even if it’s decided to play. We are not afraid of them," he said confidently.
Yanga’s squad has already returned to camp after about 10 days of rest. Preparations have intensified under Head Coach Miloud Hamdi, who has emphasized that the strategy is to defend those titles.
