As part of their squad strengthening process, Yanga SC is reported to have finalized the signing of creative midfielder Josephate Arthur Bada from Singida Black Stars.
Bada has been in impressive form this season, scoring three goals and providing eight assists. He has long been linked with a move to Yanga, and fans of the "Wananchi" are now awaiting an official confirmation of his signing when the transfer window opens on July 1.
The star midfielder is capable of playing both as a central midfielder (number 8) and an attacking midfielder (number 10). His arrival carries significant value for Yanga, as it increases competition in a midfield that has been primarily anchored by Mudathir Yahya and Duke Abuya.
Bada could also fill the void left by Stephane Aziz Ki, who was a key figure in the attacking midfield role before making a move to Wydad Casablanca of Morocco.
It is worth noting that Bada is among the foreign players who obtained Tanzanian citizenship this season, alongside fellow Singida BS players Mohamed Domaro Camara and Emmanuel Keyekeh.
The trio was officially declared Tanzanian citizens by the Ministry of Home Affairs, which means Bada can now be registered as a local player in the Tanzanian Premier League.
Yanga is determined to rebuild its squad by making key improvements aimed at forming a strong team capable of competing successfully in next seasonβs CAF Champions League, following their group-stage exit this season.
