Yanga SC has made changes to its schedule, shifting all its focus to the final three matches that will conclude the 2024/25 season. The club's management has canceled the planned trip to Rwanda, where the team was scheduled to play a friendly match against Rayon Sports on June 15.
According to the club’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, that plan has now been postponed to the pre-season preparations for the 2025/26 season, during which Yanga will draft a new preparation schedule including friendly matches.
At this stage, Yanga has decided to concentrate its energy and attention on three crucial matches that officially conclude their campaign this season. Two of the matches are Premier League fixtures against Prisons and Dodoma Jiji, while the third is the CRDB Cup final against Singida BS.
Kamwe confirmed that Yanga's squad will depart Dar es Salaam on June 15 heading to Mbeya in preparation for the match against Tanzania Prisons, which will be played on June 18. The team will have two days to prepare for the match, which is part of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League schedule.
Yanga has reiterated its stance not to play Premier League match number 184 against Simba SC initially scheduled for June 15 until the League Board addresses the club's claims regarding that match, which was originally supposed to be played on March 8.
