With just three days remaining before the CRDB Federation Cup semifinal, Yanga SC is determined to secure a win in their crucial clash against JKT Tanzania, set to take place on Saturday, May 18, at the Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.
After a dominant 3-0 victory over Namungo FC in a Premier League match, Yanga has returned to training with renewed focus, aiming to overcome JKT Tanzania and book a place in the final for the fifth consecutive time in this competition.
The club’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, stated that the team is fully committed to winning the semifinal and progressing to the final.
"We are fully prepared to beat JKT Tanzania. We want to reach another final and we’re not thinking of any result other than a win," said Kamwe.
Beyond on-field preparations, Yanga has organized a special travel arrangement for their fans to head to Tanga and support the team. Kamwe confirmed that as of yesterday evening, they had secured 35 buses, with the goal of having 50 buses in total.
"So far, we have 35 buses. Our target is to travel to Tanga with a convoy of 50 buses. I invite all Yanga fans and members to join us this Saturday. The convoy will depart from Yanga Headquarters at 9:00 AM," he added.
Yanga supporters are expected to fill the Mkwakwani Stadium in large numbers to cheer on their team in this crucial match. The game is not only a chance to qualify for the final but also an opportunity for Yanga to continue its legacy as one of the most successful clubs in the CRDB Cup tournament.
