Yanga Head Coach, Miloud Hamdi, has said that despite the difficult schedule the team has, he has developed a five-day strategy to continue doing well in the Premier League before moving to the Zanzibar islands in the 2025 Union Cup matches.
Yanga expects to travel to Manyara to face Fountain Gate in the Premier League match to be played on Monday before going to Zanzibar to participate in the Union Cup tournament scheduled to start with KVZ next Friday at the New Amaan Stadium, in Unguja.
Coach Hamdi said they are traveling to follow Fountain Gate with only three days before going to Zanzibar for the Union Championship and that it is not an easy schedule, but he is proud of the quality of the players he has, especially those who have not had the opportunity to play whom he plans to use for the island matches.
"Honestly, we have a bit of a difficult schedule, but we are planning to give at least a chance to other players to play in the tournament ahead of us. We should not complain except to fight the reality, although the truth is that I am proud of the squad I have and I believe it will not let me down"
In addition, coach Hamdi praised the breadth and richness of his squad as giving him a great opportunity to use any system without affecting the team's effectiveness.
"If you followed the previous game against Stand United there were changes and I gave space to many players who are not sure of playing regularly and they have shown by doing well that it has given me a good picture to match the schedule ahead of us"
