After missing the friendly match against Singida Black Stars due to family issues, Yanga captain Bakari Nondo Mwamnyeto has returned to the squad in preparation for the CRDB Confederation Cup round of 16 match against Songea United to be played tomorrow, Saturday, March 29 at the KMC Complex stadium.
Yanga manager Walter Harrison said Mwamnyeto was given permission to deal with family matters and that is why he was not part of the players who traveled to Singida region for the launch of the Singida Black Stars stadium but has already returned to continue his duties.
Walter also said that players who were on national team duties are expected to join their colleagues from today.
Yanga provided 10 players to serve their national teams in the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches.
The players are Dickson Job, Ibrahim Bacca, Mudathir Yahya and Clement Mzize (Tanzania)
The others are Khalid Aucho (Uganda), Duke Abuya (Kenya), Prince Dube (Zimbabwe), Djigui Diarra (Mali), Kennedy Musonda and Clatous Chama (Zambia)
