The 12 branches of Yanga Club members in Geita region have supported the decision of their leaders not to play another Kariakoo derby against Simba in the second round of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League
The members' resolutions were issued yesterday before journalists after calling an emergency meeting in Geita and unanimously emphasizing that they want to see justice done
The Coordinator of Yanga Geita Regional Branches, Rajab Mohamed, reading the resolutions of Yanga Geita members, said the decision made by the President and Vice President of Yanga is correct
"Yanga members and fans in Geita region, we join our leaders at the headquarters, we do not need wisdom to resolve this ongoing crisis"
"We believe that the league board is guided by the law and its regulations, so the league board leaders should resolve this crisis and not tell us about issues of wisdom and wisdom"
"If Yanga has broken the law or Simba has broken the law, then TFF and the league board should sit down and pass those laws," said Rajabu
He added, Yanga members in Geita region no longer have faith in the leadership of the league board and are asking the President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) to stop making insulting and provocative statements
Yanga members from various regions continue to issue statements supporting the position of their leaders following the league board's postponement of the game against Simba that was scheduled for March 08 without any valid reasons
