After getting a chance to play for about 20 minutes in the premier league game against Pamba Jiji, Yanga winger Jonathan Ikangalombo has shown that he is ready for another chance in the next game against Simba to be played on March 08 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Since he was signed by Yanga Ikangalombo, he has only played one match, due to the recommendations of the technical bench that the player who landed at Wananchi from the AS Vita club needed to improve his 'fitness' before starting to work
The few minutes he played in the game against Pamba Jiji were enough to show that the Citizens have found a 'meaningful winger' who will be a great help to the country's champions
Yanga Head Coach Miloud Hamdi expressed his satisfaction with the level shown by Ikangalombo in the game in which Yanga won 3-0.
Hamdi said the winger showed a good start, proving that he is a player who deserves to wear the team's jerseys, showing great maturity to withstand pressure and the courage to do big things in the first match.
"I used to say all the time that he is a good player with great quality, the time we gave him was limited but I think the people who had questions have seen what he has," said Hamdi and added:
"When the match was over I called him and told him he did well, but he told me that he really wants to play the next match against Simba, I told him to wait and see what we will decide because it is a match with a lot of calculations, but I believe even if he plays he will do something big because he is a great player"
