Yanga current goals are to win the next two CAF Champions League matches against Al Hilal (away) and MC Alger (home) to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Yanga is making those calculations without looking at what MC Alger and TP Mazembe will do in their matches as they are the teams competing for one place to qualify for the quarter-finals from Group A after Al Hilal went ahead.
As a result, the boss of the club, Gharib Said Mohamed (GSM) promised the stars of the team 500 million shillings if they beat Al Hilal and MC Alger.
The promise was made after Yanga beat TP Mazembe 3-1 in the previous game played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam and recovered more than qualifying for the quarter finals due to reaching four points. Leaders Al Hilal who preceded the quarter finals have 10 points, MC Alger (5) and TP Mazembe (2) trailing behind.
Inside information has indicated that Yanga's stars have been given that promise if they win the remaining two matches and reach the quarter-finals, where it will be the second time in a row to do so after last season when they were coached by Miguel Gamondi.
"The boss himself (GSM) has promised them that amount of money 500 million shillings as their bonus, so they must fight to get six points away and at home," said the source
It is clear that, Yanga stars will need to fight in those matches starting against Al Hilal to win the game. In the first game, Yanga met with a 2-0 defeat at home.
