While in his fourth season in Yanga, midfielder Khalid Aucho has said that he does not think of leaving the Tanzanian Mainland champions for three consecutive seasons
The captain of the Ugandan national team has continued to be an important pillar in the midfield of the Citizens, his contract ending at the end of the season
Speaking to journalists yesterday at the Julius Nyerere Airport shortly before the Yanga team took off in Arusha, Aucho said that his contract ending should not be interpreted as him leaving as he believes he will reach an agreement with his bosses to stay.
"Who told you that I'm leaving Yanga? I said this is the last season on my contract, I didn't say it's the end of my playing at Yanga"
"The issue of a new contract is under negotiation, so let's wait," said Aucho
Yanga is expected to extend Aucho's contract after starting negotiations with him amid reports that Yanga will sign another attacking midfielder in the short window to increase strength in that area
After missing the previous league game against JKT Tanzania serving three yellow cards, Aucho is expected to return to the field tomorrow Saturday to face Coastal Union in the Sheikh Amri Abeid match
