Chief Executive of Yanga Andre Mtine is pleased with the draw for the group stage of the CAF Champions League, Yanga being in Group A
Yanga is in group A with the teams of TP Mazembe, Al Hilal and MC Alger
Speaking after the draw that took place in Egypt yesterday, Mtine said Yanga got what it needed in the group stage
"I'm happy because we got what we needed. I think we have a chance to do well in this group"
"Yanga has a very good team, I believe we will have a good time in this championship this season," said Mtine
Talking about the two matches against TP Mazembe that Yanga will face in the group stage, Mtine said the goal is to get six points against them
"TP Mazembe is my family, but now I am in Yanga we want to close them here at home and to them too," added Mtine who worked with TP Mazembe for about 12 years before landing in Yanga
Mtine added that this season Yanga has set big goals in the Champions League but everything will be done step by step
"First we need to make sure we enter the quarter-finals, after that we will set another strategy to go to the semi-finals and other steps that will follow," he said
