Vice President of Yanga Arafat Haji has asked the fans of the team in Zanzibar islands to come out in large numbers on Saturday in the game to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Champions League against CBE SA
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Arafat said Yanga is determined to set a record by entering the group stages of the Champions League while on Zanzibar soil
"Our club currently has one goal to break the records that were previously set or we have failed to break them. It is a great honor for Zanzibar to have the opportunity to break some of these records. Yanga will set a record to enter the group stage if Zanzibar again on the new field of Amaan"
"The fans of Zanzibar have organized themselves in a unique way. We have ensured that all the structures and methods to receive the team are in place. It is our responsibility now, the fans, to ensure that we buy tickets in large numbers. These tickets may be sold out tomorrow. I wish to see our Aman stadium flood"
"I know there are some people hiding in the bush of CAF rankings. It is our expectation that if we win the next game we are going to cut down that bush. So I strongly urge the fans to come in large numbers to cut down the bush. Those who are outside Zanzibar should also come, Zanzibar is Whoever is good should come," Arafat
saidYanga Information and Communication Manager Ali Kamwe has thanked the sponsors who came out to sponsor the game between Yanga against CBE where he has noted that the club has earned more than Tsh 200 million as a result of sponsorship
Kamwe said that Saturday is a special day for Yanga to cut the bush of those who were striving for excellence in the CAF competition
